  Lynn to partner Bird at DS Virgin for 2017/18 Formula E season DS Virgin Racing has announced Alex Lynn will partner series veteran Sam Bird for the 2017/18 Formula E season. Lynn made his Formula E debut with the British outfit in Berlin last June, deputising for Jose Maria Lopez. He took pole position in his very first qualifying session but retired from both races. The British driver will replace Lopez full-time for Formula E’s fourth season which is set to begin in December. “Having worked very closely with them since January, it has been a genuine pleasure to learn from such a fantastic group of high-quality engineers and to integrate myself into their set-up,” Lynn said. “I would specifically like to thank [team principal] Alex Tai for not only giving me the chance to make my series debut in New York, but for subsequently promoting me to this full-time race seat. “I intend to fully repay everyone’s faith in me on track next season.” Bird will continue with Virgin for a fourth season in a row. The 30-year-old has won five races with the team with a best finish of fourth in the drivers’ championship in both season two and three. Lopez’s future is unclear with his options within Formula E seemingly limited.

When asked what areas she feels she still needs to improve in her life, Jennifer gushed that she is in her "golden era."

"I feel that I am shining brighter than I ever have - that I'm better as a person, as a daughter, as a mother, as a friend, as a partner," she said. "I want to be better and I'm OK with all of it... The 48-year-old singer hails from the Caribbean island, and took some time out after her Las Vegas residency show performance on Thursday night (21Sep17) to share a video expressing her upset over the natural disaster in her home country. In the footage posted on her Instagram page, Jennifer said: "What's on my mind is what's going on in Puerto Rico. The devastation is beyond belief. Me and my cousin still haven't been able to hear from our families over there." Hurricane Maria has killed 15 people in Puerto Rico to date, and 20 more in other Caribbean islands, and followed in the footsteps of Hurricane Irma, which also caused devastation when it swept through Puerto Rico en route to Florida. A state of emergency and curfew has been declared in Puerto Rico, and Jennifer encouraged her fans to do what they can to help the relief efforts following the hurricane. "Today, Puerto Rico needs our help. I urge you to support and donate to the efforts of the First Lady of Puerto Rico, Beatriz Areizaga," she said. "Together we can help rebuild our island, and the Caribbean." Jennifer isn't the only famous face to use her status to plead with fans to donate to hurricane relief efforts. Her ex-husband Marc Anthony had earlier shared a similar video to Billboard.
