The Union re- signed forward Charlie Davies to a one-year deal . Davies was acquired by the club at the trade deadline last season from the New England Revolution. MLS Cup champions Toronto FC have agreed to a homegrown deal with Syracuse’s Sergio Camargo , while an offer has been made by the Reds to U.S. Under-17 forward Ayo Akinola.

Atlanta United FC signed the second Homegrown Player in club history on Thursday, when the 2017 expansion club announced that they have inked US Under-17 national team midfielder Chris Goslin to a contract. Goslin’s fellow 16-year-old US youth international Andrew Carleton became the first player to sign a Homegrown deal with Atlanta in May. Currently in residency with the U-17 national team in Bradenton, Florida, Goslin has been a regular part of the US team currently preparing for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup.

Toronto FC announced Wednesday the signing of midfielder Sergio Camargo to a homegrown contract.

Canada announces 24-man roster for U-20 camp

The 22-year-old joined TFC's academy in 2009 and appeared for the first team in a friendly against Liverpool in 2012. Camargo also played in the fourth-tier PDL for Canadian side K-W United, which he captained during the club's 2015 PDL North American Championship title run.

In the NCAA, Camargo split time between Coastal Carolina University and Syracuse University.

“We are very excited to sign Sergio, another Canadian homegrown player,” TFC general manager Tim Bezbatchenko said in a club release. “During his time in our academy, NCAA and PDL, Sergio has progressed and grown his game on a number of levels. We look forward to welcoming Sergio back to Toronto FC and watch his continued development as a professional soccer player.”

A former Canadian youth international with caps at the U-17 and U-20 levels, Camargo becomes the 13th player to graduate from Toronto's academy to the first team.
