Lakers Coach Luke Walton : Organization Will Ask Steve Alford About LaVar Ball . Dan Patrick: Would you ask somebody about LaVar Ball ’ s involvement at UCLA in regards to Lonzo Ball ?

Luke Walton said Friday on the Dan Patrick Show that the Los Angeles Lakers will contact UCLA head coach Steve Alford to ask questions about LaVar Ball ' s involvement with the program.

Lonzo Ball has a chance to be a franchise-changing player, especially for a team like the Los Angeles Lakers who could use him to run their team and change the culture around them as he would bring a certain interest and cache to the franchise that very few players can.

The questions though keep coming up about his father, LaVar Ball, especially after he was seen "threatening" Fox Sports' Kristine Leahy on live radio Wednesday.

So it's only natural for teams to vet LaVar Ball as well as his son Lonzo, and how LaVar was involved in and around the UCLA program when his son was with the Bruins.

Dan Patrick asked Los Angeles Lakers' head coach Luke Walton just that on his show Friday morning.

Lakers' president Magic Johnson already went on record stating that LaVar Ball would not weigh into their decision to draft Lonzo, but he said that more than a week ago, and things have obviously come out since then.

So it begs the question, with the new information coming to light, will it change how the Lakers approach their draft? Will LaVar Ball hurt his son's draft stock?
