GETTY. OFF: Kenneth Omeruo is heading to Besiktas. The Turkish champions have been linked with a move for 31-cap Nigeria international Omeruo , who impressed for their league rivals Kasimpasa last season.

The defender’s contract at Chelsea is set to expire next season with the Stamford Bridge club not prepared to offer him a new deal, so Wolves are signing the player for a cheap price as Chelsea don’t want to lose him for free in a year.

Omeruo has had loan spells with various clubs and has experience in the English game following his spell at Middlesbrough where he made 36 appearances.

The defender is well established at International level but needs to get his club career back on track by settling down with one club and Wolves hope they are the club for him.

The fee has been agreed and his medical with the club is set to take place soon.
