Monday's game against Manchester City would be a top-of-the-table clash if not for Leicester City, but it's more of a must-not-lose than a must-win for both sides.

Arsenal star to miss Europa League clash v Cologne . As long as Ozil , Ramsey , Coquelin, and Giroud are still Arsenal players, I dont really care what happens. Arsenal has got no flair anymore.

Francis Coquelin, meanwhile, is out for three weeks after sustaining a hamstring injury in the victory over Bournemouth last time out.

"Overall the injury situation is not too bad," Wenger said.

"On the injury front we have no big problems, a few players have some response to the fact they played two international games like Ozil and Ramsey, who are rested completely.

Arsenal duo Aaron Ramsey and Mesut Ozil could both miss Sunday’ s Community Shield clash against Chelsea at Wembley. According to football.london, the pair both missed training on Saturday, despite Arsene Wenger insisting earlier in the week he expected them to return today.

"I believe as well there was always a huge pressure on him to come back as quickly as possible and to expect a lot. If he can keep calm and focus on his job then he is on a good way.

"For me, in training, he is getting stronger every day. That is what we want from him. He has been injured at the start of the season from last season so he was a bit behind the other players but now he is getting better and better."

Olivier Giroud appeared in front of the media alongside Wenger and is expected to play, while Alexis Sanchez and Hector Bellerin trained with the squad as part of the club's pre-match preparations.

Arsenal looking to offer Welbeck and Ramsey new contracts .
Arsenal are set to offer Danny Welbeck and Aaron Ramsey new contracts at the club, according to The Guardian. The report claims that Arsene Wenger is keen to tie the duo down to long-term deals, in an attempt to avoid being in another Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil situation. Ozil and Sanchez – arguably Arsenal’s two most valuable players – are both in the last year of their deals. This means that Arsenal could lose them both on free transfers next summer, unless they extend their contracts. Sanchez looks unlikely to sign a new contract, whilst Ozil could still commit his long-term future to the club. Welbeck and Ramsey are both out of contract at the end of next season and Arsenal are set to begin discussions over extensions. Former Manchester United striker Welbeck is set to be out of action until the middle of October after his injury last weekend.
