Al-Khelaifi is also the chief executive officer of beIN Media Group — according to Rob Harris, this criminal case concerns World Cup TV rights.

A statement by Swiss authorities states that Jerome Valcke, Nasser Al-Khelaifi and one other are being investigated for fraud, unfaithful administration of business, and forgery of documents, in relation to the allocation of media rights for certain countries at the FIFA World Cups of 2018 and 2022.

Al-Khelaifi took over at PSG IN October 2011 and the club have since won four Ligue 1 titles, three Coupes de France, three Coupes de la Ligue, and five consecutive Trophees des Champions.

The likes of Angel di Maria, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have all joined the club since the induction of the Qatari president and he aims to make PSG one of Europe’s uppermost elite.
