Bakambu has impressed at Villarreal for many years now and it hasn’t been any different this season, he currently sits 3rd in the La Liga goal-scoring charts behind the best player in the world, Lionel Messi and former West Ham striker, Simone Zaza, who looked hopeless at The Hammers last campaign.

Cédric Bakambu (born 11 April 1991) is a Congolese professional footballer who plays as a forward for Spanish club Villarreal CF. He made his professional debut for Sochaux in 2010, and played 107 official games for them over five seasons, scoring 21 goals.

Although Villarreal do not want to sell their star striker, they would budge if the price was right and if the West Ham board stick to their word of backing new manager David Moyes, then the move could happen.

Megson tells assistant coach Garner not to attend training .
West Bromwich Albion’s temporary manager Gary Megson has told assistant head coach Ben Garner to stay away from the team’s training sessions because he doesn’t want too many voices telling the players what to do, according to a report on the Express and Star. The Baggies sacked Tony Pulis and are now on the hunt for a new manager, with talks being held with Alan Pardew. However, the team must prepare for a weekend visit to Wembley to face Tottenham Hotspur and Megson wants one clear message to reach the players ahead of the fixture. Megson and Garner have different coaching methods which could cause confusion for the players which is why Megson has taken the control. Megson joined as Pulis’ assistant at the start of the season and has now been put in charge of all first team affairs until the club appoints a new manager. The Baggies are currently 17th in the table and are one point away from being in the relegation zone after a poor start to the season. The club have been sucked into a relegation battle but the owners and chairman hope that they can appoint a manager who helps fire them away from the bottom three.
