Joe Hart to get first-team chances

Joe Hart to get first-team chances West Ham manager David Moyes has told Joe Hart that the England No.1 will still have first-team opportunities with the Hammers. The 30-year-old has not played for West Ham since the backend of November with Adrian maintaining his place in the team with a string of fine performances. Hart, who was on loan at Italian side Torino last season, agreed to join the East London outfit in the hope of gaining consistent game time ahead of England’s involvement in the 2018 World Cup in Russia but a string of mistakes throughout the season thus far, has resulted in the goalkeeper losing his first-team place. However, on the back of a busy Festive period for the Hammers, which included a last-gasp 2-1 victory over West Brom and a commendable 1-1 draw with Tottenham at Wembley, manager David Moyes is keen to give Hart some more game-time. Reports have linked Newcastle with a move for the goalkeeper in the January window. However, Hart captains West Ham in the cup game against Shrewsbury on Sunday. Moyes said, via the Guardian: “Joe will play a lot of Premier League games this season as well. I keep saying it. I thought Adrián pulled off one brilliant save at Tottenham when he put a shot over the bar in the first half and he has done well in the games he has played.” “I am sure he is not overly happy with it but Joe is a top professional. I’m sure he’s had an understudy to him for 90% of his career and I think he’s acted in a really good manner. I’ve no doubt Joe will play Premier League games between now and the end of the season.

Son drive cancels out Obiang stunner

Son drive cancels out Obiang stunner Heung-Min Son's late piledriver cancelled out Pedro Obiang's stunning effort to spare Tottenham's blushes in a 1-1 draw with West Ham at Wembley. The relegation-threatened Hammers spent the majority of the game on the back foot but Obiang's 70th-minute thunderbolt - their first shot on target - moved them to within reach of an unlikely victory. But Son's 10th goal of the season salvaged a point for Spurs, who remain fifth in the Premier League. David Moyes' men extended their unbeaten Wembley run to nine games, and climbed up to 15th in the table as a result.

Adrian has told West Ham 's official website that he really appreciates it every time the supporters sing his name, and suggested that he feels that he has a special relationship with the fans.

The winger's inch-perfect delivery was met by the incoming Mahrez and the Algeria international swept his effort past Adrian into the top corner of the net. It had the desired effect as Payet, West Ham 's most impressive performer, dragged one goal back 10 minutes into the second half.

“I like to share with them the moments that I am living here – my life, my sensation after the game, before the game, or in the week. I want to show the fans a bit of myself. “They see me on the pitch but it’s important in the era of social media to share with them a bit of my everyday situations.”
