“I am focusing now on my club because, in the end, if you don’t do right things in your club, it is impossible to receive the call. And if it finally arrives, perfect. If not, I will support the team from home.”

Alonso admits Morata is unhappy over Spain snub .
Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso has admitted that Alvaro Morata was not pleased after not being selected in the latest Spain squad, according to ESPN. Spain face two matches in four days as they come up against two of the best nations in world football in friendlies against Germany and Argentina. Morata returned to the Blues’ side at the weekend as he netted in the 2-1 FA Cup win at Leicester City on Sunday afternoon. Although, he was still left out of the Spanish side for the international break. The exclusion from the squad may come because of the recent injury problems which the forward has encountered in recent months, with Morata having endured a tough introduction to English football. He has also struggled for goals this season since signing for Chelsea and his goal in the cup was his first since Boxing Day, ending what has been a rather poor run of form. His Spanish teammate Alonso spoke about the situation: “Alvaro wasn’t happy. He has gone through a difficult few months with a back injury. He is now 100 percent and the other day he scored.” “He is a very important player for us. I hope he will do well from here until the end of the season and he gets to go to the World Cup.
