Sergej Milinkovic-Savic not considering Lazio exit

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic not considering Lazio exit Liverpool, Manchester United and Juventus have all been dealt a blow in their pursuit of Sergej Milinkovic-Savic. According to Sky Sports, the player has played down any speculation linking him with a move away from Lazio this summer. “The current situation makes me realise that I do not have to think about other options. I am concentrating on my current club and our goal of qualifying for the Champions League.” Milinkovic-Savic has become one of the rising stars in Serie A this season with a number of impressive performances. His role in a Lazio side that are pushing for Champions League qualification has not gone unnoticed by some of Europe’s elite. Liverpool have been credited with an interest in the past, while Manchester United have also been running the rule over the midfielder who has scored nine times in Serie A this season. Lazio currently occupy the fourth and final qualification spot in Italy for the Champions League. The opportunity to play Champions League football with Lazio may well be enough to keep him at the club beyond the end of the season.

Manchester United news: Jose Mourinho sends scouts to watch Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic - Savic . MANCHESTER UNITED boss Jose Mourinho sent scouts to watch

Man United last week sent scouts to watch Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, with Jose Mourinho interested in signing the midfielder.

The Daily Mail report that United sent scouts to watch Savic against Salzburg, a game in which Lazio lost, ending their Europa League campaign.

The midfielder struggled and failed to make an impact in the defeat, something that may harm his chances of winning a move to Man United.

Celtic reignite interest in Vujadin Savic

Celtic reignite interest in Vujadin Savic Celtic look like they have reignited their interest in Vujadin Savic as, according to reports in Serbia, the Scottish champions will be sending an official out to Belgrade to watch him in action for Red Star this weekend. Celtic were linked with a move for the former Serbian U21 international in the winter, but a move never materialised and it was reported that the Bhoys had decided to pursue other targets. However, it looks like they are still very much in the market for a new centre back and therefore, Savic looks to be back on the radar. The 6’4″ powerhouse is said to be available for just £1.5m, which is by no means a large fee in today’s market. The Serbian star is comfortable playing on either side of a centre back pairing and would provide a boost to a Celtic backline that has been found wanting at times this campaign.

Roma fan fined £300 for throwing coins at Anfield .
Roma fan Eduardo Ranalli has pleaded guilty to throwing two 20p coins whilst in attendance at Anfield for Tuesday night’s Champions League semi-final clash against Liverpool. Ranalli made his plea at Bootle Magistrates, where the court was told that, after throwing the coins, he tried to evade the police by taking off his jacket and mixing in with other Roma supporters. The judge in charge of the case, Judge McGarva, spoke about how he could only issue a financial penalty. The fine itself was £00, but the total cost for Ranalli will be around £415 as he must pay court fees. Ranalli was not given a banning order, but he was given a Criminal Behaviour Order as he intended to cause alarm, harassment and/or distress. That means he is unable to attend any football game in England or Wales for the next five years.
