West Brom are leading the race to sign Swansea City centre-back Kyle Bartley. According to The Mirror, West Brom are in pole position to land Bartley over the coming weeks. Bartley looks likely to leave Swansea after their relegation from the Premier League. West Brom are eager to improve their defence and are also eyeing a move for Wolves defender Danny Batth, who is valued at £4m. Leeds are also interested in signing Bartley, who spent the 2016/17 season at Elland Road – impressing as they finished 7th in the Championship. The defender only made five Premier League appearances for Swansea last season and has played 36 games for the Welsh outfit since his move from Arsenal in 2012. Bartley made 46 appearances for Leeds during his loan spell, scoring an impressive six times from defence and captaining the side.
