Two people have been charged after police found thousands of pounds worth of drugs at properties in West Lothian .

Around £350,000 worth of amphetamine, heroin and cocaine were found in the addresses in Townhead Gardens, Whitburn, and Polbeth Road, Polbeth.

Police have charged a 32-year-old man and 29-year-old woman under the Misuse of Drugs Act.

Detective Inspector Paul Batten said: "This is a huge quantity of extremely harmful substances that has been seized before it could be distributed within the West Lothian communities.

"We are committed to tackling organised crime in all its forms, including drugs offences, and will always act on information from the public to identify those involved.

"The public continue to make it clear to us that they will not tolerate drug crime in their communities and, on occasions such as this, provide vital information that assists with our efforts to bring offenders to justice.

The two suspects are expected to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court tomorrow.
